Responsibilities
The RSD is responsible for the overall clinical excellence of our assisted living community. Job duties include:
Supervise the overall implementation, delivery and coordination of resident care and services.
Interview, hire, train and nuture the development of nursing team members. Utilize Elmcroft Senior Living Behavioral Interviewing Guides and adhere to Elmcroft Organizational Development policies.
Plan, assign and direct clinical responsibilities and tasks.
Promote healthy relationships with residents and their families including open and honest communication about changes in resident's health and overall wellness status.
Provide oversight of medication management procedures to ensure all MARs are correct and that residents are receiving the correct medications at the right time. Work with consultant pharmacist to ensure compliance.
Perform accurate and timely evaluation of resident needs utilizing Elmcroft Senior Living assessment tool. Promptly report any changes to Executive Director for billing adjustments, if necessary.
Manage clinical team labor hours according to census and acuity to ensure expenses stay within budget.
Ensure all resident charting is performed accurately and according to state regulations.
Participate in the Care Connect program to help new residents make a smooth transition to their new home.
Support the overall community relations effort by assisting in prospective resident tours, answering families' questions and sharing the knowledge that assisted living communities help to improve the overall health and wellness of older adults.
Maintain positive employee morale and goodwill among team members by coordinating staff appreciation programs and incentives. Use feedback systems to improve employee satisfaction.
Coordinate associate onboarding & orientation, education, and on-going training programs to meet licensing requirements, state guidelines and community need. Document all training.
Provide on-call back-up to the community when not on duty.
Ensure confidentiality of all personal and health information for residents and staff is maintained.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the community and the care, comfort and happiness of residents.

Qualifications
A minimum of a one year experience in nursing and one year experience in management is required. LPN or RN license required.
Must be in possession of, or have the ability to obtain, a valid state driver's license.
