Elwood Staffing, one of the fastest-growing privately held staffing firms in the U.S., is seeking an experienced staffing professional for an on-site operation at a client facility. The On-site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision, direction, maintenance, and improvement of our on-site program. The On-site Manager must exercise independent judgment and discretion in effectively guiding temporary associates and internal staff to ensure that job performance goals are met or exceeded. Creating a strong bond with our temporary associates, reinforcing the employer-associate relationships and strong commitment to client relationships are important elements of this role.
Previous staffing industry experience, particularly as a branch or on-site manager, is desired. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to motivate a team to deliver superior customer service.

Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
Implementing an effective recruiting plan to ensure continued availability of qualified associates
Provide quality customer service through thorough understanding of client goals
Establish solid relationships with client managers and supervisors
Anticipate future staffing needs to ensure sufficient coverage by associates
Provide thorough orientation and ongoing coaching and counseling for associates
Facilitate and compile requested reports for client and internal management
BACKGROUND PROFILE: On-Site Manager
Three or more years of staffing industry experience, particularly as a branch or on-site manager, is desired
Thorough knowledge of human resource law and procedures
Experience with understanding and analyzing basic financial statements, such as sales reports and P&L statements
Bachelor's degree in a business discipline
Solid personal
computer
knowledge and ability to use essential technology (databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and email) effectively and efficiently
Function effectively in a fast-paced, multiple priority, high volume environment
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
High level of self-motivation and sense of urgency
Able to communicate effectively and tactfully (both verbally and written) to all levels, both internally and externally


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
