Job Description The Purchasing Agent works closely with our vendors and our inventory team to ensure that we maintain a sufficient supply of materials to produce our products and to support daily operations.
The Purchasing Agent role will issue purchase orders for inventory and business items, contact and negotiate with vendors, develop vendor relationships, track incoming shipments, and approve invoices for purchased materials.
If material substitutions must be made on orders due to supply chain limitations, the Purchasing Agent will work with the Customer Service team to find acceptable replacements for incoming orders.
Requirements -Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Buyer or Purchasing Agent or a Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field.
-Experienced use of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Word -Proficient typing skills -Strong ability to implement basic math skills -Demonstration of excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills -Ability to handle multiple priorities while staying well-organized and attentive to details -Ability to bend, stand, and use stairs as needed -Ability to work in a smoke free environment -Reliable transportation to and from work Hours Full time position, Monday through Friday, 8:
